The PMI-14 B-Type is a 45 Degree Double-Blade Sawing Machine for making framing and
notching cuts of non-ferrous material quickly, accurately and with a burr free finish. It has two
saw blades that are positioned at 45 degrees vertically to reduce waste. The PMI-14 B is ideal for
manufacturers of door and window frames because it produces two opposing 45 degree cuts in a
single cycle. The double saw blade design greatly increases production and efficiency.
Saw Blade Spindle:
The Saw Blades travel vertically through the work piece on two precision machined shafts to
assure consistent and accurate cutting. The PMI-14 B is equipped with two 18” saw blades that
are staggered at 45 degrees. Each saw blade is operated by its own 2HP saw motor.
Saw Blade Feed:
The saw blade feed is controlled via a pneumatic cylinder with full control of the feed rate. This
allows for accurate cuts and long blade life. In addition, the saw blade travel is controlled for
fastest cycle time.
